In 2010, Carmel and Maree set out to redefine Adelaide’s entertainment landscape. After identifying a clear gap in the market for high-calibre, professional dance groups, they launched Bellarouge – a dance troupe committed to delivering bold, captivating entertainment with flair, precision, and passion.
With over 50 years of combined industry experience, Carmel and Maree have shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Australian entertainment. Their performance credits include the Adelaide 36ers, NBL, Adelaide Crows, Woodville West Torrens Eagles, and Hans, to name just a few.
Both are also accomplished choreographers: Carmel has choreographed for the Adelaide 36ers, while Maree has brought her vision to life for the Woodville West Torrens Eagles. Their leadership and creative direction have shaped Bellarouge into Adelaide’s go-to name for premium live entertainment, setting the benchmark in commercial, cabaret, and jazz.
Bellarouge is powered by a versatile team of over 20 professional dancers, each with a strong foundation across styles, including jazz, ballet, contemporary, callisthenics, funk, hip hop, and commercial. With a diverse age range and backgrounds, the troupe brings a unique blend of fresh energy and refined stage presence to every performance.
Our dancers have performed at high-profile events and venues including the Adelaide Fringe Festival, Adelaide United, Jennie Bell Inc, Clipsal 500, Hotel Alba, Adelaide Oval, Make-A-Wish, Adelaide Festival Centre, and Ballers Clubhouse. Many have also proudly represented South Australia and Australia in national dance competitions across various genres and age groups.
While jazz and cabaret remain popular client choices, Bellarouge is known for its adaptability – bringing creative, custom concepts to life for every event and brief.
